This month's coffee is a pretty fun one to share. It is a wash-processed coffee, but it presents with a lot more funky-fermented character than a regular washed coffee would.

It is sort of a middle ground between a processing-forward coffee, one with flavours that are present due to the processing/fermentation conditions, and a clean, washed varietal-forward coffee, something that is a raw expression of a coffee's character and terroir.

We were recommended this coffee from a friend in the industry, David, who is now working with the importing partner. It is always such a pleasure to connect with people like him over coffee, and to share coffees we have found, because we both understand and share in similar values. We feel so grateful that the speciality coffee industry is so tight and collaborative. We are strong believers in the beauty of word-of-mouth marketing and think it is the best way to find new coffees, share experiences and generate a closer connection to everyone in the chain from start to finish.
