Beneficio Brumas Del Zurqui is a micromill located in the Central Valley region of Costa Rica in the sub-region of Heredia. Neighbouring farms deliver cherries to this micro-mill.
Finca La Sur is one of the farms owned by Juan Ramon Alvarado Rodriguez and his family. Juan is also the manager of the micromill. They are fourth-generation coffee producers and in 2003-2004, they began innovating their processing methods and expanding their processing infrastructure. They have also built a cupping laboratory and roastery to ensure and maintain quality.
Costa Rica has a rich biodiversity, great altitude and a near-perfect microclimate for growing coffee. The coffee out of Costa Rica can be incredibly diverse and the refinement that is shown by its producers makes it a really interesting origin to buy coffee from.
