Country- Ethiopia Region - Sidamo Producer/s- Local small-holders Washing Station- Chiri Processing- El Natural Varietal/s- Heirloom Altitude- 1800-2200 MASL Harvest- January 2019
Flavour Notes- Purple grape, rose & a creamy mouthfeel
This is the first Natural processed coffee that we have ever offered.
The coffee is dried as whole fruit, which makes it prone to producing mold and other undesirable fermented flavours. To ensure consistent drying and over-fermentation, the coffee cherries are turned regularly. Chiri is located on the eastern side of Sidamo, Hora Ela. This heirloom varietal coffee is grown by 650 small-holders families. It was graded as a Grade 1, which helps in delivering creamy, clean, deep winey and perfume-like flavours.
