Papua New Guinea has many remote villages in their east and west highlands and some of these areas can be prime real estate for growing coffee. Marawaka is one of these towns, and is also a reminder of how remote some coffee growing communities can be. Accessing these hidden gem coffees can be very difficult. The exporters hiked for 3 days to scout out this amazing coffee that was produced by a women's cooperative in the hills. This group of ladies and their leader, Priscilla, are passionately working away at making a livelihood out of their coffee crop. We love taking part of this journey, as the exporter and importer work so hard to making sure these communities are paid well for their coffees and conquer the logistical nightmare of getting coffee out of these remote places and into the hands of coffee roasters.

We consider it to be our job to help in that final step. Out there, there are some coffee heroes in a small village in Papua New Guinea. They work hard to get their coffees noticed and we love delivering our customers their coffee story of triumph and relentless passion.
