One carefully selected coffee each month, with an invitation to explore a little more of what makes it interesting.
Each month, we choose one particular coffee that we feel deserves a little more attention. It might be an interesting expression of a variety, a producer we've worked with for years, or something about the processing or sourcing that we'd love to explore further.
Alongside the coffee, I'll share an email exploring some of the thinking, relationships and decisions behind it. Sometimes technical, sometimes a little more philosophical, but always an opportunity to share what we're learning and experiencing ourselves.
It's really for people who enjoy filter and light espresso, and are curious to understand a little more about the coffees they're drinking.
*We roast the subscription on the first Tuesday of every month. Shipping is inclusive of the price. We are here via text/email to make sure you get the most from the coffee and your MOM subscription. Pause or cancel at anytime!
What makes our coffee subscription valuable:
- Support a roastery that honours the transparency of the supply chain
- Coffees that are diverse and expressive of their terroir and variety
- Coffee that has been put through its paces on our bar for thorough quality control
- Tasting coffees when they are at their peak, by selecting them when they are tasting most expressive and honouring the seasonality of coffee as a product
- Direct contact for any brewing questions and straightforward coffee advice from someone who is brewing the coffees ALL the time
.
The coffee is roasted to be brewed as either a filter or a longer-style espresso. The slightly longer brewing ratios help with making sure the coffees are balanced at the lighter roast level. We also suggest a longer-than-usual contact time when brewing espresso. We believe this makes for a more complete flavour experience, as lighter roasts pays respect to the hard work that makes a coffee distinct and true to its origin.
Brewing guidelines:

Time: Slower than average - more contact time
