We are really dedicated to buying coffee from Caravela. They are a transparent importer and really care about relationships, from the farmer all the way to the roaster. We have a new producer for you from the Huila region, Yan. He is the son of Carlos Imbachi, a very well-known coffee farmer in the region. Carlos gave all his children land on his farm to grow coffee. They, as a family, have been focusing on specialty coffee and in particular refining their process styles and well and experimenting with alternative varietals.
This is a Pink Bourbon lot from Yan, that has been fully-washed, but also given 18 hours of fermentation time which aids in the deepening of the winey acidity profile and the given the coffee a beautiful pulpy/fleshy sweetness.
